Encountering Errors?

Ensure you have up to date VB Runtime Files:

• Download up to date VB Runtime files.
• When asked where to place the extracted files, enter "C:\Windows\System32", like in this picture.

Still missing some files?:

• Download MSSTDFMT.DLL.
• Move "MSSTDFMT.DLL" to "C:\Windows\system32\".
• Open your "Start Menu".
• Open "Run...".
• Enter "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\msstdfmt.dll". (Note: You must be the computer administrator to be able to do this.)
• You should see a message saying, "DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\system32\msstdfmt.dll succeeded."

• On a Windows Vista machine, copy the module file to "C:\Windows\system32\".
• Left click on "Start".
• In the bottom left-hand box, type "cmd".
• Right click on the "cmd" file and select "Run as Administrator".
• Click "Continue" and "Allow" dialog buttons; a black Dos-like box should appear with "C:\windows\system32>".
• Type "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\msstdfmt.dll" and hit enter.
• You should see a message saying, ""DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\msstdfmt.dll succeeded."

• Download MSINET.OCX.
• Move "MSINET.OCX" to "C:\Windows\system32\".
• Open your "Start Menu".
• Open "Run...".
• Enter "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\msinet.ocx". (Note: You must be the computer administrator to be able to do this.)
• You should see a message saying, "DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\system32\msinet.ocx succeeded."

Missing MSWINSCK.OCX:

• Download MSWINSCK.OCX.
• Move "MSWINSCK.OCX" to "C:\Windows\system32\".
• Open your "Start Menu".
• Open "Run...".
• Enter "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\mswinsck.ocx". (Note: You must be the computer administrator to be able to do this.)
• You should see a message saying, "DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\system32\mswinsck.ocx succeeded."

Missing MSFLXGRD.OCX:

• Download MSFLXGRD.OCX.
• Move "MSFLXGRD.OCX" to "C:\Windows\system32\".
• Open your "Start Menu".
• Open "Run...".
• Enter "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\msflxgrd.ocx". (Note: You must be the computer administrator to be able to do this.)
• You should see a message saying, "DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\system32\msflxgrd.ocx succeeded."

Other problems?

• Delete "C:\Program Files\SXS Sniffer" and any of the contents in this folder.
• Reopen SXS Sniffer; it should work fine now. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact me with your error issue.
